Georgia Tech drops series finale to #2 Louisville

After an exciting 10-4 win yesterday, the Yellow Jackets looked for a big start today and hopefully to walk away with the series win. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen today. Georgia Tech fought until the very end, but fell just short of the goal, to win the series.

Starting on the mound, RHP Jackson Finley pitched for 4.0 innings. Finley gave up five runs on eight hits, while striking out four batters and walking one batter. In total, the Yellow Jackets used eight pitchers on the day.

In relief, LHP Josiah Siegel, RHP Logan Bogue, RHP Ben King, RHP Demitri Diamant, all worked scoreless and clean innings.

Unfortunately, runs crossed against LHP Dalton Smith, LHP Joseph Mannelly, and RHP Jackson Vaughn. That’s when the Yellow Jackets fought until they couldn’t anymore.

At the plate, Jake DeLeo led the way going 3-for-5. While Stephen Reid, Kristian Campbell, Nicholas Romano, and Jackson Finley each hit a single apiece. Campbell, Finley, and Jackson drove in the three runs on the day.

The Yellow Jackets will head home and try to re-group, as they will take on Wofford this Tuesday night at Russ Chandler Stadium at 6pm. That game will be broadcast live on the ACC Network Extra.
