Defensive misplays and errors, result in a walk-off loss to #2 Louisville

Georgia Tech came into this game with hopes to get back on track, after the heartbreaking loss to #18 Auburn, this past Tuesday night. Their effort came up just shy, as they were once again walked-off, for a second straight game.

Starting RHP Dawson Brown pitched for 5.5 innings. Brown gave up five runs on seven hits, while striking out seven batters and walking four batters. In relief, LHP Joseph Mannelly pitched for 1.1 innings, giving up one unearned run, while also striking out a batter and walking a batter.

Mannelly then would hand the ball over to RHP Ben King. King would pitch for 0.2 innings, as he struck out one batter. After King, RHP Terry Busse came in and pitched for 1.2 innings, giving up two runs on two hits. Busse also struck out three batters, but walked four batters, as well. Terry Busse gave up a few runs, as this was his first losing decision in a game.

At the plate, Jadyn Jackson and Jack Rubenstein led the way recording two hits and two RBI’s apiece. Also contributing, Drew Compton drove in a run on two hits. Lastly, Angelo Dispigna went 2-for-4 on the night as well.

Georgia Tech will look to even the series, as they will get set for game two tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 1pm and will be crucial for the Yellow Jackets to end this losing streak.
