Landon Sims was off to an unbelievable start against Tulane on Friday night. He was pitching a perfect game through 3.2 innings and had struck out 10 of the 11 batters he faced.
After throwing a pitch to strike out Brady Hebert in the bottom of the 4th, Sims immediately started to shake out his had. The trainer met with him on the mound and made the decision that he could not continue.
Brandon Smith took over on the mound for Mississippi State and gave up a hit to the very first batter he faced. An emotional Landon Sims watched on as his miraculous day was finished.
An update on the Bulldog ace’s arm will follow, but for now, it is unknown how long he might be out.
