The undefeated Bulldogs face the Wofford Terriers for the second time this season on Tuesday, this time at Fluor Field in Greenville, South Carolina. Wofford began the season 2-1, but have lost their last three games. Wofford is 0-10 against the Bulldogs all-time, including a 7-1 loss last Tuesday to Georgia. This is the first road test of the season for the boys in red and black.
In that 7-1 victory, Ben Anderson stole the show, going 4-4 with a home run and two RBIs, supplemented with a bullpen that provided over seven innings of relief after a short delay due to lighting issues prevented starter Garrett Brown from continuing. Anderson is currently leading the team in average, home runs, and is tied for third in RBIs.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and will be available on SECN+ and on Greenville Drive’s Youtube Channel.
RHP Dylan Ross will make the start for Georgia on Tuesday against LHP Dom Agron for the Terriers. Ross (1-0, 1.80) made his 2022 debut in a win against Albany on opening weekend, going five innings while allowing only one run and striking out six. Agron (0-0, 5.40) has appeared twice for Wofford and has given up five runs (only three earned) and struck out seven in five innings pitched.
