I like how Baseball America is giving Stanford its flowers for what it did in the Round Rock Classic. This is a bold move by the staff that I really, really respect.
Notre Dame is still too high for my liking, but they are a great team. I’d put them at the back end of the Top 10 or early teens.
Virginia deserves to be ranked and probably in the Top 20, but No. 5 is quite high. That sure is built off a preseason narrative.
Props to BA for dropping Arkansas and Mississippi State, unlike D1. Where I don’t like the moves is having Tennessee so low and Ole Miss at No. 6.
The Rebs are easily playing Top 5 ball right now, even if I may have a little Oxford bias in saying so.
