Texas remains at the top of the BA Top 25, while the SEC loses any Top 5 members of the rankings.
The poll welcomed two newcomers (Sacramento State and Maryland) this week, but some of the other polls were already giving Maryland their respect.
Another really puzzling Top 25 list this week from Baseball America.
I know it’s early, but D1 and Baseball America both appear to be too trigger happy on their rankings to start the season. The big-name blue bloods get no punishment for losing games, while several teams making noise outside of the Top 10 are left behind thanks to preseason narratives.
Just not a fan of any list so far this year.
However, I do have great respect for these publications and the work they do to grow the game.
