Georgia Tech drops midweek at Georgia Southern

The Yellow Jackets effort to overcome two errors and four unearned runs fell a little short to the Eagles in Statesboro on Tuesday night.

Starting on the mound, LHP Dalton Smith gave up just one earned run in 1.2 innings. In relief, RHP Marquis Grissom Jr came in, but received the loss after giving up three runs on three hits in 2.1 innings. The Yellow Jackets used seven pitchers in total on the night.

At the plate, Chandler Simpson led the way, going 4-for-4 with an RBI. Also contributing, Kevin Parada and Colin Hall both had two-run home-runs on the night. Tres Gonzalez also went 2-for-3 for the game.

Georgia Tech will continue its action packed schedule of eight games in ten days, as they welcome in Presbyterian to the Flats on Wednesday evening.

First pitch is scheduled for 4pm and will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra and WREK 91.1 FM.
