Wednesday’s game got out of hand quickly as the Razorbacks scored six in the 2nd inning. They would add five more before the end of the game. Georgia was only able to earn three hits on the day, the first coming in the 7th inning.

The lone bright spot in the Georgia lineup was a Corey Collins two-run homerun in the 7th to save the Bulldogs from being run-ruled.

Lael Lockhart was fantastic for Arkansas, going 7 innings, giving up only the two runs and striking out eleven. He was also one out away from a seven inning perfect game.

Charlie Goldstein got the start for Georgia but only survived one inning, giving up 3 runs on 1 hit and 2 walks. Walks once again killed the Bulldogs as Georgia tallied fourteen in the game, their highest total of the year.

With their win on Tuesday against LSU, Georgia likely solidified their place in the NCAA tournament, likely as a 3-seed. They will face the loser of Ole Miss-Vandy and will likely throw Liam Sullivan or Jonathan Cannon on Thursday as they will be on the brink of elimination. The estimated time for first pitch is 2 pm.
