The Bulldogs and the Jackets meet again, this time with both coming off series losses over the weekend. Georgia lost the first two games against Florida before salvaging the Sunday victory, and Georgia Tech lost the last two games after winning the opener against Miami.
The Yellow Jackets are 25-20 (19-14 ACC) and the Bulldogs are 29-20 (12-15 SEC).
Fans will likely see both teams use a combination of short outings from multiple pitchers as both have important conference series coming up in the final weekend. Freshman Charlie Goldstein (1-0, 5.17) will get the start on the Georgia side while Tech has not yet named a starter.
Charlie has appeared in 8 games this year, with 4 of those being starts. He’s given up 9 runs in 15 2/3 innings pitched. He allowed 1 run in 2 1/3 innings of relief against Tech in their last matchup.
Cole Tate and Riley King likely won’t play as they battle injuries and try to get back for the weekend series with Ole Miss.
