The Alabama Crimson Tide advanced to the semifinals of the SEC Tournament on Thursday night with a 5-1 Win over Kentucky.
Alabama got the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st when Bailey Hemphill hit a blast to left to make it 1-0 Bama
Alabama would add to the lead in the bottom of the 3rd when Jenna Johnson hit a double down the left field line adding two more for the Tide making it 3-0 Bama
An Alabama error would give Kentucky its first and only run of the day in the top of the 4th making it 3-1.
In the bottom of the 5th Hemphill would add another home run this time a 2 run homer making it 5-1 Bama. This would be her 60th of her career tying Kelly Kretchman for the Alabama career record.
Bama would go on to win 5-1 in a dominant night for Montana Fouts. Fouts finished with 15 strikeouts tying an SEC record set by Alabama alum Alexis Osorio.
Up next for Bama: Alabama will face Tennessee Friday night in the semifinals for a shot at the SEC Championship game. Kentucky will await to see who they will be hosting in the Lexington regional when the bracket is reveled Sunday night.
