11.7 has released their Mid Major rankings at the halfway point of the season. Louisiana Tech may hold the top spot, but everyone’s eyes are on the undefeated Fairfield Stags who sit at #15.
Fairfield’s resume is impressive thus far:
- #2 RPI ranking (d1 baseball)
- 12-0 against top 100 RPI teams
- Outscoring opponents 212-63
- Lowest ERA in the NCAA
- Lowest WHIP in the NCAA
- #3 in batting average
- #4 in slugging percentage
- #4 in on base percentage
It will be interesting to see if the Stags can continue this amazing run. One thing is for sure, the Stags are a legitimate threat and you won’t want to see them in your team’s regional/super regional in June.
