Wednesday night Texas travel to San Marcos to face Texas State. After a scoreless 1st inning Texas added a 3 run 2nd inning Trey Faltine with a 2 run homer off the left foul pole that would be his first home run of the year for him, Mike Antcio grounded into a fielders choice Ardoin scores on the play 3-0 Texas. Bottom of the 2nd Texas State would get a run back with a ground ball to Cam Williams runner would score then in the bottom of the 3rd Wentzel walks in run to cut the lead 3-2. It was scoreless until the 7th inning Zach Zubia infield hit Hodo scores, with bases loaded Silas Ardoin rips a 3 run double to clear the bases, Eric Kennedy with a RBI single to make it 8-2. In the 9th Aaron Nixion makes his 2nd straight appearance out of the bullpen give up a hit then got a ground ball double play to end the game. Pete Hansen went 2.1 innings, 3H, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 2K was pulled in the 3rd inning Pierce saw something wrong with Hasen. Palmer Wentzel would get the win 3.1 innings, 0H, 0R, 2BB,0K.
