Texas gets back to .500 after a win against Texas A&M CC 12-1 last night to end a 5 game home stand. Texas got it started in the first inning, Mike Antcio lead of the game with a double he would score on Cam Williams fielder choice, Zach Zubia hits a 2 run triple, Texas A&M CC pitcher try’s to pick off Melendez on first the SS muffled the ball Zubia would score on the play 4-0 Texas. Bottom of the 2nd Mike Antcio hits a solo shot to right first home run as a Longhorn, Williams caught stealing Hodo scores on the play to make it 6-0. Bottom of the 3rd Michell Daly RBI double that would be his first hit and RBI as a Longhorn 7-0 Texas. Couple of scoreless innings Douglas Hodo gets a infield hit Kennedy scores on the play, Trey Faltine 2 run double. Top of the 6th Texas A&M CC would score a run on a infield hit. Bottom of the 8th Dylan Campbell RBI double then Dalton Porter would get a RBI single to make it 12-1. Texas pitcher Aaron Nixion would close the game with a 3 up 3 down.
Kolby Kubichek started the game pitched 3 solid innings 1 hit allowed one walk striking out 4. I expected him to get more innings through out the season. Aaron Nixion made his first appearance of the season 1,2,3 inning. Texas also used Justin Eckhardt, Drew Merryman and Palmer Wentzel they only gave up 2 hits allowed 7 walks and striking out 5.
