Texas drops series finale

Texas drops the series finale losing 5-4 to BYU. Texas would get it started in the 1st inning with Douglas Hodo solo homer first of the season for him. Texas would add another run off the bat of Silas Ardoin RBI single. Bottom of the 5th Cam Williams hits a 2 run bomb off of the green monster Texas would go up 4-0 over BYU. Top of the 5th BYU would put up a 5 run inning Deming RBI single, Gambill would get hit by the pitch with bases loaded run would score, Achecar Sac Fly, Watkins with a 2 RBI single. BYU would hold on to the lead after that. BYU would out hit Texas 7-4. Texas with another high strikeout game with 9.

Tristan Stevens started the game going 5 1/3 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits. He started the 5 inning giving up 3 straight hits then Noah Cain would came in relief he would get pulled after giving up a 2 RBI single, Drew Shifflet would give up a hit then they called on Tanner Witt would shut down BYU 3.1 innings zeros cross the board striking out 5.
