Texas starts the season 0-3

Well it’s not the season Texas wanted to start off with falling 0-3 and losing 8-1 to Ole Miss in the final game of the State Farm Classic.

Ole Miss started the game off with a lead off double from Peyton Chatagnier then went to 3rd on a wild pitch then Jacob Gonzales drove him in on a SaC Fly. It’s was scoreless until the bottom of the 5th when Cam Williams hits solo to right to tie the game up at 1. Top of the 6th Graham RBI single Ole Miss goes back on top 2-1 then Dunhurst sac fly, Bench RBI single Ole Miss takes 5-1 lead. Ole Miss would add 3 more runs in the to put the game away with LaFleur solo home run, Gonzales triple and Graham grounded out to 1st Gonzales scored on the play.

Kolby Kubichek started for Texas was solid for Texas tonight going 5 innings 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out 7.

Mike Antcio and Dalton Porter both got their first career hits as a Longhorn. Can Williams hit his first HR of the year.

Texas offense is struggling right now after 3 games they are hitting 0.166 as a team, leaving 21 runners on base and striking out 46 times.

Texas looks to get in the win column when they face BYU at home for 4 games starting on Wednesday. Hook’em🤘🏻🐂
