Texas falls to Miss St 8-3 in the first game of the State Farm College Baseball Showdown in Arlington, Texas. Texas Pitcher Ty Madden was off to a good start striking out the side in the top of the 1st then bottom of the 1st Texas had a bunt single from Eric Kennedy that was it for the 1st.
Top of the 2nd inning Miss St bats got hot. Madden walked Hancock then Dubrule singled up the middle Hancock advancing to 3rd.
