New Orleans, LA – Tulane may be one of the most exciting teams to watch in college baseball right now. They certainly made a case for themselves this weekend. Friday night’s game featured a combined no-hitter from Braden Olthoff (3-0), Clifton Slagel, and Keagan Gillies. Saturday’s game found Tulane down four runs, but a rally and a three run walk-off home run from Trevor Minder gave Tulane the 8-5 victory. Minder kept his hot bat going into Sunday as he batted for the cycle and helped the Green Wave secure a sweep over Middle Tennessee.
Tulane is a fun team to watch. They have great starting pitching, a quality bullpen, and as a team they hit for contact and they hit for power. If they can clean things up in the field look for this team to make a run. It will be exciting watching them compete in a talented American Athletic Conference this season.
