
New Orleans, LA – The Green Wave dropped Game 1 of in-season series against crosstown rival UNO 10-1. Tulane was only able to manage 5 hits, 4 of those coming from Trevor Minder and Frankie Neimann. UNO set the tone early, scoring 9 runs over the first 3 frames.
Tulane used 8 pitchers in the game, with starter Chris Holcomb (0-1) getting the loss after pitching 1.1 innings. Parker Haskin drove in Jonathan Artigues for the Green Wave’s lone RBI of the night.
With the loss Tulane falls to 6-2 on the season. Games 2 and 3 of the Pelican Cup will take place in mid-April. UNO will host game 2 on April 15th and Tulane will host game 3 on April 21st.
The Green Wave look to rebound from the loss when they take on 3-5 MTSU this weekend for a 3 game set in New Orleans.
